Cultivate Community

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13

Cultivate Community Team

Our Cultivate Community Team sponsors fellowship events within our church as well as partners with outside organizations to fellowship with our greater community.  This ministry is a great way to get to know people and share in great conversation.

Food Truck Friday

If you live in White Oak, you may be familiar with our Food Truck Friday each summer in our parking lot.  We invite food trucks to sell their goods as well as local music and family-friendly entertainment.  We provide the space and the tables and wait for the community to show up and fellowship!

Kick-Off Sunday

Kick-Off Sunday is one of our in-church events where we “kick-off” our new program year with a celebration of back-to-school blessings and a lunch all together following the Worship service.  We take time to catch up with those we haven’t seen much in the summertime and we learn about all of the new opportunities coming up in the fall and spring.

Truck, Trunk, Treat!

One of our biggest collaborative programs is held on the last Saturday in October in our parking lot and fellowship hall.  White Oak Borough, Local Girl Scout Troops, and Sampson’s Mills join together to bring you the best Halloween Party ever!  Everyone comes in costume, has a parade around town, then lands back in the parking lot for Truck, Trunk, & Treating!  Fire Trucks, Police Cars, Ambulances and Borough Vehicles decorate themselves for Halloween and give out candy along side trunks designed by the Girl Scouts and SMPC church members.  Inside, there is food, games, and more goodies!  It’s a wonderful afternoon of family-friendly spooky fun!
