As part of our Serve Weekend efforts on April 6th-7th, we are asking for donations of the following items, or simply click on our Amazon list to shop and have items shipped directly to Sampson’s Mills! Donations needed by Friday, April 5th.
- Individually wrapped hard candy such as Life Savers, Jolly Ranchers & mints
- Laundry detergent pods and dryer sheets
- Check the list for more needs!
Saturday, April 6th
Sign up to support the 16th Annual Race for Grace at Norwin High School.
If participating in the 1-mile Fun Walk, join with other SMPC members in walking with our own Banner for Grace during the new featured “parade of banners” during the first lap.
All from SMPC participating are encouraged to meet for a group picture that morning- details to come!
Saturday, April 6th from 1pm-4pm & Sunday, April 7th from 10am-Noon
Housewares Collection benefiting the Shared Blessings Mission Store in the SMPC parking lot.
Kitchen Items such as pots/pans, dishes, silverware, baking dishes, mixing bowls and small appliances such as toasters, blenders, etc.
Household Items such as towels, sheets, lamps, paper products (toilet paper/paper towels)
Baby/Kids Items such as clothes, diapers, pack n plays, high chairs, strollers, car seats (NOT expired), baby seats, toys
SMALL furniture items such as end tables, small coffee tables, small upright dressers, chairs, 2-4 seat kitchen tables.
Sunday, April 7th
We will have a short service with communion at our usual 10:30am time, and then we will be putting our hands to work with the following tasks:
- Assembling hard-tack candy bags for students at McKeesport Area School District to utilize during state testing.
- Assembling laundry care bags for distribution at the United Community Center at Twin Rivers.
- Spring cleaning and maintenance for the Cupboard Stretchers Ministry / White Oak Food Pantry including cart repairs, inventory and reorganization.
- Continued collection benefitting the Shared Blessing Mission Store of Duquesne in the SMPC parking lot.
