Spoiler Alert: The Tomb is Empty…So Why is Holy Week Important?
Holy Week is an opportunity to journey with Jesus, to slow down and spend time with each step. Navigating Holy Week is a spiritual practice of its own. To listen, observe, and feel God through remembrance of this pivotal week. Allow yourself to be immersed in the details. Wave your palm on Palm Sunday as we sing “Hosanna!” Listen as Jesus explains to the disciples at the Last Supper the terrifying news of what is to happen over the next few days. Imagine hearing that news yourself, for the very first time. On Good Friday, engage your senses as we explore the sights and sounds of the crucifixion. Feel the defeat. Let your guard down and recognize just how much God loves you. Then arrive on Easter Sunday to the joyous celebration of our Risen Lord and what it means for us moving forward. Yes, we know the whole story before it starts, but allowing ourselves to walk with Jesus through the journey nourishes our spirit and opens our hearts in new ways for God to work.
Spoiler Alert: God’s not done with you yet.

This service is filled with scripture and music as we break down the details of the
crucifixion through the senses. What did it sound like? What did it smell like?

This service is deep, dark, and oh so important.

Hope is restored, lives are changed, and we are forever thankful.
While this service may mark the end of Holy Week, it is actually the beginning of a new chapter – for Jesus, for the disciples, and for God’s work in us.
